Coalisfoundintheground,too.Manyyearsago,beforepeoplecametoliveoh,greattreesandtallgrassesandhugefernsandallthebeautifulflowerscovertheearth.Whentheleavesareesfell,thewaterandthesoilcoveredthem;andthereesgrewandfellalso,andwereburieduerandsoil.
Aftertheyhadallbeenpressedtogetherformanythousandsofyears,thewoodgrewveryhard,likerodthenitwasallreadyforpeopletoburn.youseeleavesandfernsandbarkontheengodownintothegroundanddigoutthecoal,andsteam-carstakeittothelargecities,atopeopletoburn,tomakethemwarmandhappywhenitiscoldoutofdoors.
